Bienvenue à la classe de français!
Welcome students (and parents, too) to my class website. Many of you are new to my classroom, and several of you are returning; whatever the case, this year promises to be an exciting year. This class will be like no other class that you have had before. French 1 and 2 will be taught using the “Flipped Method”. This might be something that you have heard about, or it might be a brand new concept. In the Flipped Method, students do what is traditionally done in the classroom at home, and what it traditionally done as homework is now done in the classroom. Students will watch videos of me teaching the lessons at home, and in class we will really make use of our time together by doing many different types of activities that will increase your understanding of French and how the language works. I am excited to get started! If at anytime during the year you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Here is a video that explains the concept:
Parents:
In our class we will be using various types of technology to practice the French language and to learn about the cultures of French speaking people. We have a wonderful textbook that has many online features. In order to get to know my students better, I am asking parents to complete the following survey regarding technology. Thank you for taking the time to answer these questions.
